For many years, Central Community College has proudly upheld the tradition of presenting the Outstanding Alumni Award, which stands as the highest honor bestowed upon a remarkable alumnus or alumna. This prestigious award recognizes and celebrates the accomplishments of exceptional alumni whose personal lives, professional achievements, and community service reflect the college's mission statement: "Central Community College Maximizes Student and Community Success."

Award recipients are selected based on the following criteria:

Recipients of this distinguished award are chosen based on the following criteria:

Educational History at CCC: The nominee must have earned an associate's degree or diploma and must have graduated at least five years before the nomination.

Professional Accomplishments: The nominee should have demonstrated exceptional achievement or advancement in their career, which may include earned degrees, professional training, recognition within their field, and outstanding contributions to their profession.

Community Service: Nominees should possess a proven track record of active community participation and involvement.

Advocacy for Higher Education and/or Support of CCC: The nominee should have a successful history in either or both of these areas, promoting the value of higher education and/or actively supporting Central Community College.

Availability: In addition to the above criteria, the nominee should be able to attend the commencement ceremony on the campus they attended. The award recipient will also be invited to deliver a brief address to the graduating students during the commencement proceedings.

The Outstanding Alumni Award not only honors individual achievements but also serves as a testament to the enduring impact of CCC alumni on their communities and the world at large.
