Mission

The Central Community College Foundation advances opportunities for quality educational services in Nebraska-based institutions.

Vision

Improving quality of life; fulfilling one dream at a time.

History of the Foundation

The CCC Foundation has a history of maximizing opportunities for thousands of students and multiple communities through investment in scholarships, program grants, and capital improvements on the campuses and centers of Central Community College.

The Central Community College Foundation was founded on March 1, 1989. Then college president, Dr. Joseph W. Preusser, approached founding executive director Jack Crowley with a vision of establishing a foundation that would be proactive in raising funds and other forms of support for the college.

In 1990, the CCC Foundation was recognized by the IRS as a separate, not-for-profit corporation operating for the benefit of Central Community College.

At that time, the college had two foundations with combined assets of approximately $100,000.  The two foundations merged into the Central Community College Foundation in 1996.

Today the CCC Foundation manages assets of approximately $38 million and awards $1 million annually in scholarships to students.

Our donors make a significant difference!

The foundation is led by board members from throughout the CCC service area. The wide range of talent and experience represented by the board has played a key role in the foundation’s success.

The college also plays a major role in the foundation’s success because people appreciate the tremendous impact Central Community College has on the economy of central Nebraska.

CCC’s career and technical programs contribute a significant number of educated professionals to the workforce.

Central Community College offers certificates, diplomas and associate of applied science degrees in 34 career and technical areas, including some of today’s fastest growing occupations such as Heavy Equipment Operator, Advanced Manufacturing Design Technology, Early Childhood Education, Hospitality Management and Culinary Arts, Occupational Therapy Assistant, Nursing, and Media Arts.

Fulfilling One Dream at a Time

Providing support for Central Community College students is our primary goal at the Foundation. We work thoughtfully with donors to design and implement opportunities to invest in students.  To date, students have received over $6 million in scholarships from funds given by donors and managed by the Foundation. The dollars matter, but the lives and livelihoods matter more.  We invest in quality of life; fulfilling one dream at a time!
